replacement 22.5mm RSB bushings?

I got my R53 JCW having already been pretty extensively modified in 2016. I have a list of modifications but none mentioned the actual size of the rear sway bar, which has been clunking for about a year. I asked my tire guy to look at it while he was doing my rubber and he said the bushings for the RSB are toasted.

I got out the micrometer while doing my rear brake pads today and measured it at 22.5mm. I cannot for the life of me find a replacement RSB bushing in that size.

Are there any out there? Can I coax a 22mm bushing to fit? Because I can find those for days.

I ordered some 22mm from M7, they said the 22mm can be coaxed to fit the 22.5. I'll report back if they don't work (otherwise just assume that they fit)

I just used Google with this search term.: Rear Anti-Roll Bar for the MINI, 22.5mm bushings and found several images for 22.5mm bushings. You might try Detroit Tuned: https://www.detroittuned.com/powerfl...-bar-bushings/

Send us a photo and we can tell you what bar you have. if it is aftermarket, its 22 or 25 mm no one made a 22.5 mm bar.

I figured out what they were, buried in the car's service history (which is more than an inch thick), a handwritten "MM rear sway bar installed" on a service record.

Googled it, minimadness' 22mm RSB matches it perfectly, down to the weirdly shaped bushing clamp they had. So it is a "22mm" bar, they just made it about 22.4mm in diameter according to a calibrated micrometer.

Got the 22mm bushings with angled zerk fittings so no more need to remove/replace for grease. Hopefully they fit the minimadness bar.

Bushings are on, swapping them was literally a twenty minute job start to finish, and that included taking out and putting away all my tools.

The dealership refused to do this job and said that it was a huge headache to do. F**king liars. It was four bolts and four small screws.

Rear end clunk is gone. I wish I did this a long time ago, I just had been convinced by the dealer it was a huge pain in the ***.
