Catless downpipe, no tune

I have a 2011 mcs and I just purchased a catless downpipe. I’m curious if I can run it without a tune for an extended period of time, or will it damage my engine? (I know it’ll throw a CEL)

Should be no damage to the engine. Only issue will be the CEL.
