Hi Guys as title i've broken the top locking hook on the right side of the roof.. at the point where the underwire merge to the hook...
so... in bmw they want 208€ for both locking hook so i've try to fix by miself...
and then.. put a copper wire..
anybody have try to fix the locking hood when broken? was best to try to make a hook in iron instead of plastic like the original one (designed to break.... thanks bmw -.-)

The original "wire" functioned as a spring and was metal, not plastic. A copper wire won't do it. Best way is to replace the assembly. Several threads on this subject, most recent is here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...as-broken.html
