Anyone have a good dashboard camera set up they like? This mornings commute involved on particular hothead who convinced me it's time to have one in my vehicle.

That company doesn't make a mount for R60, though the mirror housings may be the same?

I'm not concerned with having a "hidden" camera, but there are so many choices on the internet for these things... Read 3 different "10 best dash cams for 2020" and most of them are great big blocky things that will interfere with regular driving vision, or the review says they have great 1080P video and when you look at an actual recorded video, you couldn't tell a Jeep from a RAV4 the quality is so bad. It would be nice to at least almost be able to read a license plate after the fact.

Anyone care to share their setup, point me in a good direction?

I have Blackvue front and rear - small and discrete, very good resolution (4K) and has worked great for me.

 

Do you happen to know which model you have?

 

I am not at home...mine is a few years old as I installed on a 2015 JCW, but looking at their site I think it might be the DR900S 2-channel w. WIFI.
Just last week my wife was cut-off by a big truck...no impact but have it on video.

 

That model is a cloud storage. I'm gonna go with DR590W-1CH, it only records out the front, but at 60 frames per second instead of 30 like the 2 channel/2camera model. Will report back.

Well the model I said I bought, directly from Blackvue not from Amazon, worked good for 2 days of driving. Now it refuses to power up, even though I can measure 12VDC at the power jack. So, that sucks.

 

Well yes...that sucks! Mine came with the car used...don't know much about it but is working fine. Have read reviews mostly good and some bad...but has been ok for me so far.
