Quicksilver or Milltek catback

Has anyone used a milltek non res and quicksilver catback on their r55? If so in your opinion which do you feel was a tad bit more louder, I want to go for whichever is more quiet but I understand that they probably have almost the same level of loudness just curious to see if anyone knows.

If you want the quietest one, get the Milltek resonated version.

When holes or cracks start to appear
in the original 11 year old exhaust on
my 2009 JCW R55, I’ll be looking at
either the resonated Milltek or the
Quicksilver as a replacement.
That’ll probably be any year now.

Looking at the muffler design on both systems, I’d be willing to bet you wouldn’t be able tell much difference between them without using a sound spectrum analyzer. If your ears aren’t that sensitive, get whichever one is on sale, and enjoy it. I’m sure they both sound amazing. I am also pretty much convinced you won’t find anyone on the forum that has experience with both systems on their car to give a honest, objective review. (except for Way Motors, assuming they have installed each system.)

I read Way’s review in the previously mentioned thread and have often considered a Resonated Milltek because of the ease of adding/removing a resonator but:

1. My MarioKart Catless Downpipe/ JCW Catback sounds damn good

2. Spending ~$1k on something that may or may not drone when my current setup is sometimes too loud to communicate with my kids in the back seat seems kind of risky.

Looking forward to pics/review of install and impressions whichever way you go!

That is the only thing getting me too not sure if I should add resonator or not its a hard decision to make when you stay in Cali

Im thinking about taking a baby step and removing the secondary cat. If it goes well, i'll consider removing the factory resonator.

Happy side effect of removing secondary cat (completely catless) is dropped temperatures from what I hear.

Should sound even better than it currently does and it'll still be wayyyy cheaper than a Miltek.
