I'm having some weird fan issues. The fan works, it goes full blast when I unplug the thermostat temp sensor. It also works when the AC is on, but sounds rather loud IMO. It doesn't seem to want to run when the car is running. I have had it come on after I shut the car off and it sounds awfully loud. The fuse box may have the answer, FL9 and R4 are both missing. Why would someone pull fuses like this? The car is new to me from my stepdad who got it from someone for a debt owed so he doesn't know either. I've already had to replace the leaking thermostat, coolant pipe, and reservoir hoses. It's one thing after another. At least it's not losing coolant anymore I guess...
Edit: FL9 isn't missing, I was looking at it wrong. Apparently the Gen 2 Mini doesn't have R4 possibly? I have a Bluetooth OBD2 on the way so I will be monitoring coolant temp.

hi guys, I owned 08 Cooper s r56, and mine doesn’t have FL10, since I bough it used few months ago I’m not sure is that supposes to have fuse on FL10 or not. Anyone maybe know the answer. thank you in advance

I'm starting to notice a trend. Does your Mini have climate control by chance? It may be a case where Mini with climate control has R4, Mini without has FL9. Hard to explain how I have come to this. I've also seen a bunch of 07 fuse boxes on eBay, all missing R4 coincidentally.

I think FL10 is for an accessory our models didn't come with. Question for ya. Does your Mini have climate control?
I was wrong on FL9, I was missing FL10, which I threw a fuse in there just in case. As for climate control no climate control here. Who has climate control and can verify if FL10 is there?
