rear side window off track?

OK, so the damn top wouldn't close again. got almost up to where the arms were just about to lock at the top of the A pillars , then it quit. All the windows would still function up and down, but when the rear sid windows got almost fully up, the left rear window Popped and now won't move at all- all the rest of the windows will close and the top finally closed after sitting for 10 minutes.
How tough is it to get to the mechanism for the rear side windows?
could the top failing to operate normally be from the top motor overheating? The red light quits working when the top stops. I had all the sensors replaced and the problem is so intermittent they can't find the answer/cause.

Thanks

Its not all that hard to get to the side window mechanism, As I recall you have to take the back seats out and remove a trim panel. A bit fiddly, but I managed to replace the side window when the center plastic chunk of the lift mechanism broke on mine, so its cant be super hard. There are two or three "how to" videos on you tube, It was a little frustrating at times, but its doable with some patience. I bought the entire window and lift mechanism off ebay for about $100. Ive seen pictures elsewhere where the plastic piece was wired and epoxied back together too. Not sure about your other issues. Good luck.

Heres the thread showing the "fixed" plastic guide ...https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-replace.html
