R52 Gas door

Gas door
I'm curious why does my 08 R52 have the regular color matched gas door and others i see have the chrome gas filler door. And is it possible to switch mine to the chrome style.

The R53 had the chrome gas cap, the R52 and R50 all had the body color.

Unfortunately you can't put the chrome cap assembly on the R52 as the inner structure behind the quarter won't allow it to fit.
