Speaker upgrade recommendation

Hello

I have an R56 with stock H/K sound system. Can someone give me a speaker upgrade recommendation? Also, what is name of that company that does a whole system upgrade?

Bavsound for speakers - however you can probably do better price wise elsewhere. Check out parts express.
There is also https://www.bimmer-tech.net which has similar stuff to Bavsound.

Lots of choices.

From my experiences in upgrading HK, the place to start with is the amp. It is sorely under-powered. Then add sub woofer. Unless you want to go all in with integral audio or the entire amp/speaker package from one of the vendors mentioned.

Adding an amp and subwoofer to my stock radio made a huge difference in sound quality, though I feel the speakers are a little weak, when compared to the booming base. I took a job with the Census and plan to use some of the extra money I make to complete my stereo upgrade. 😊 I would like to hear what brand speakers other people chose, as well.

What amp do you recommend as Bavsound does not have one available until later in year.

I went with JL Audio XD600/6v2 6-Channel car Amplifier which is a quality amp. You will lose the center channel dash speaker if your car has one as that would the 7th channel. No loss.
