I know already, killing the horse more than once. Insert key fob, car won't start, order a new shell to see if the old one is toast. Current key fob unlock doors and everything else but nada once in the slot. Checked online and some say it's shell and just swap into a new shell ..... waiting for shell but it that ain't it, what else? Yes car battery is fine... bought mini used and only had 1 key.

Also would it be will it be ill adviced or too expensive to just make it standard key start or even change over to comfort key system? I know I am green but that is why I am asking here....thanks in advance

 

Manual or auto? Might not be the FOB. If manual, clutch switch. If auto brake switch, parking switch.

Also, are you are certain you don't have comfort access. Look for switch on outside door handles.

 

It's manual transmission, got a key fob shell, moved board into new shell. Wiggled and pushed. No results 😥

 

You need to provide more details. Does anything happen when you push the start switch?
