Is my PCV valve gone bad? pictures inside

Hi all

I have some serious issues with my newly acquired Mini One R56 2009 with 40.000 miles (64.000km) on the clock. Car is low on power until engine gets warm, and has a white smoke with fuel'ish smell coming out of the exhaust, even when idling. Car has excessive oil consumption, meanwhile coolant level stays the same and the car is not overheating.

I inspected the PCV system and both the valve and the breather/vent hose are coated with oil (picures below)
Is the valve cover or PCV valve faulty? is this much blow-by supposed to get into the intake manifold?

I'm not sure how the system works, but moisture and sludge in the oil, overall poor performance and the above symptoms makes me suspect the PCV (read many diagnostic articles on the internet)

Your help is much appreciated.

Yep, classic coolant in the oil. I wouldn't drive it until you get it fixed as the oil is now contaminated.

All right, thank you both.
I'll have my local shop do a combustion leak test.

Yep, sadly that looks like the milkshake mix of a bad head gasket.
