Rpm between shifts

#1...So, I guess its normal that these r53s don't drop rpm fast between shifts or once you go into neutral. It's not a problem as much as an annoyance as it's unlike most any other manuals .
is there a way to have them drop faster ? On the Ford engines I'd build I could enlarge or make a custom gasket with a smaller hole for the internal air control valve and it would effect the rpm drop rate..
Do these r53s have an iac or someother way to adjust this ? If not no big deal but if so it sure could help driveability . I already cured the yoyo thankfully.

Install a single mass clutch and the rpm will drop quicker. The dual mass clutch weighs a ton and that keeps the rotational mass going so the rpm drops slower.

I actually just let a current mini owner drive my car and he verified that I do have an LSD differential but then he said I may even have the single Mass clutch he said something about a Chewbacca bark and that mine grabs much better and harder especially considering that it has 200,000 miles so more than likely has had a clutch replacement and judging by all the other upgrades on my car he said more than likely the previous owner upgraded it when he switched it out I mean my RPMs don't hang bad but I feel if they could drop a little sooner it would improve drivability I don't really have any drivability issues I just feel like if there's room for improvement on something if it can be improved I'd like to do it

I have a Spec aluminum flywheel and ACT sprung disk in one of our Mini's and going from the dual mass I noticed a big difference in RPM drop between gear shifts. It kind of reminded me of my old Porsches. If you get the bark when engaging the clutch you may have a single mass flywheel running a unsprung clutch disk. One way to tell if you have a single would be to compare how quickly your RPM climes when you blip the throttle. I wouldn't think there would be too much of an advantage having a drop between gear shifts, the lightened flywheel is set up so you would get quicker acceleration.

I get no bark or any kind of noise thankfully . This car actually feels better shifting than my both my prelude and vr4 I used to have . Lol no problem throwing gears in this baby . No pop ours, grinds ,odd noises or hard to engage gears ..I will post a video revving my car .wish I could post a 0-60 video but streets have been covered in salt and now a bunch of snow .

It's the drive-by-wire accelerator that doesn't bring the revs down quickly.
