AutoTransmission shock and rpm unstable

Start after stop p->d. When starting gear change, the vehicle is severely impacted and rpm unstable. I wonder what the problem is. My car is mini r50 which has traveled 120,000 km. Is that the way the Cvt mission is?

It may be that the CVT transmission needs its adaptations cleared so it can re-learn where to shift. You could take it to a MINI dealer or MINI specialist mechanic. You can use BMW's INPA software to do it yourself. I had the same issue you are describing with my daughter's MINI and resetting the adaptations fixed the issue.
