Stock 17" wheels on the R60 hold water!

Anyone ever notice that the stock 17" alloy wheels on the R60 Countryman trap water when they are wet at the bottom of the wheel behind the spokes in the groove in the alloy wheel design? I've never noticed this before because I bought the 18" optional silver turbo fan wheels and they've been on the car since the week we brought it home. I've been running the original wheels & tires during the winter however, so washing the wheels today I noticed how they trap water in the wheel groove behind the spokes....really "dumb" design! Anyone notice this? Well, it doesn't bother me that much because the 18" turbo fans will be going back on in a couple months anyway and they are sooooo much better looking and handling as well with the wider non-runflat tires! I'm just curious if anyone else has ever noticed this flaw with the stock 17" alloy wheels?

A picture might help?

I dont recall ever seeing any groove at all. Makes me wonder if something might have made a groove in yours? Of course, there are also a couple different kinds of 17" wheel too.

Edit: Nevermind, you are talking about this wheel maybe?

Yes, that's the one. I couldn't remember what they are called. You can even see it on the photo....the curved groove behind the spokes is lower than area between the spokes so that water cannot exit that groove in the wheel circumference on the bottom when the car is parked. Water just sits there "forever" until the wheel moves again or it evaporates. Call me picky, but that's plain dumb! I don't care for these wheels anyway...that's why I opted for the 18" turbo fan wheels. This is the first winter since buying our 2015 CMS All4 in 2018 that the original wheels have been on the car, so I've never noticed this before.

Yes, the stock 18" wheels (also made by Ronal) on my BMW 325i xDrive also had that inside circumferential groove inboard of the spokes. I have those same 17" for my winter tires, btw, and quite like them. They are the same as @iwashmycar posted. Link here: https://www.autorimshop.com/wheel/mi...wheel-rim.html
