R90 wheel question...

You build a car on the Miniusa website, and you build a base Cooper that comes with 15" wheels. You choose the R90 17" wheel option. I understand the buyer gets the stock 15" wheels and tires returned to him, but does the R90 17" wheel option price also include the tires as well?

That's wheels only on the price, no tires included

At my dealership if you select the optional MINI wheels you loose the stock wheels and pay for the upgraded wheels and for tires. The Accessory book has prices for the wheels alone each. If you pick wheels that are the same size as stock then you often reuse the tires. If you pick upgrade wheels that are larger than your stock wheels then you'd have to also pay for tires. You should double check with your dealership.

R90s come in two sizes- the 16" one piece which you posted a picture of and the more expensive two piece 17" R90.

Both are hard to keep clean with all those spokes. The 16x6.5" R90 is lighter at 20.9 pounds vs the 17x7" one at 24.1 pounds.

Thanks minihune, I have been wondering how much my R90's weighed. If you wax your wheels they are fairly easy to clean with water the dust just slides off.
