Can I use an Astell & Kern music player in my Mini?

Can I use an Astell & Kern music player in my Mini?
Now I use the iPod adapter (with my iPod). I can browse the library on the center screen. But I have a LOT of UHD music on my iMac, and the iPod won't take it (I have to dumb it down to 250kb/sec). My LG phone will play it via BT. Will a high end digital player connect to the Mini like the iPod using USB so I can see the library? That way I could play HiDef audio easier. Thanks in advance. I'm probably gonna get a Gen3 JCW Clubman later this year but I don't know if their audio system is much different than mine to be honest.

You wouldn't want to plug in a DAP into the MINI via aux in as it uses the internal DAC and degrades the music. I doubt you can control A&K via MINI head unit. The newer MINIs usually have a hard drive to store FLACs and whatever formats they use. My 2014 has the basic h/u so I am not totally up on it. Wifes past MINI had the hard drive which allowed me to put my FLAC files on it.
