R55 Low speed fan issue

Hello guys, I have read numerous threads about Low speed fan not working. First I turn on the ignition and turn on the AC full blast low speed fan will not come on. I can remove the temp sensor plug and the high speed fan will come on. I tried switching relays while fan was running. I pull the relay and the fan stops switch it with the low speed relay comes back on so seems both relays are interchangeable and working. i did a continuity test from the fan to the relays terminals in the fuse box got a tone on all 3 wires. I have 12V to the fuse box. I changed the fan assembly out same issue not working on low speed. i even changed out the temp sensor no change. I'm stumped any ideas checked all fuses as well.

Did you get a solution?

Pcormd,

Your post is most timely, My mini has the high fan on for about 10 minutes or so after I drive. The coolant level is fine and I don't see any leaks.
My main concern is, can I drive the car while with out hurting it, while I am trying to diagnose the issue?

Steve
