Hello All,
I am new to this forum, I own a 2015 4 door sport. I have to buy new tires for it soon.
I currently have 195/55 R16 runflats on it and I hate the feel when I'm driving it. (potholes are the worst)
Looking for advice/ recommendations on which tires to buy.
I don't drive it far, 15min drive to work usually and live in a small town.
Input is much appreciated

 

I replaced mine with all non RFT goodyear tires. The ride is lot better.

 

Wife had a 2016 non S with OEM RF's and the ride was excellent. Didn't have DDC, does yours have the DDC suspension?

On the other hand I have a 14 F56S with RS's and DDC and it is pretty rough riding at times.

 

What is DDC? Mine is also 2015 4 door S.

 

Dynamic Damper Control. Adjusts the suspension firmness. If you have it the setting will show up in the menus and you can turn it on/off.

Electronic Damper Control is a comfort-oriented suspension control system for controlling the damping forces on individual wheels. The EDC valves have 2 positions: Hard damping action or soft damping action (valve CLOSED or OPEN).

Lots of choices out there. Go on Tirerack.com . There's tons of owner reviews on different tires. You can see what other Mini drivers have good experience with. I think Pirelli makes the P7 Cinturato in a non-runflat version. Gets good ratings but you'd have to check what sizes it comes in. Good luck.

I have a 2015 4 dr. Justa with 17 in. all season Non runflats, and it rides great. I am fortunate to have a spare donut mounted underneath the car.
