Fog light always semi-on on start of engine

Is it normal that my fog lights are always semi-on (not on since the dash icon is not on and when it's on the fog light gives more lights) when I start the car? My main light are on auto-mode. The fog lights turn fully off once I turn off the engine.

dunno specifically about CM

but on our 15 Roadster the DRL is the same 'fixture' as the fogs. We have the LED DRL so it is obvious .....

You are possibly seeing daytime running lights????? You CAN turn these off to confirm .....

Daytime running lights? So only the fog lights are on during the day correct (well semi lit)?

People call them daytime running lights but they are more what the Euros call “city lights”. They are not bright enough to count as DRLs just on their own. Here in Canada where DRLs are mandatory, those lights are additionally augmented with the headlights on at all times. I have the Bi-Xenon headlights but I imagine it’s the same with the halogens. Fog lights use the same housing and only come on with the low beams.
