Storing Wheels and Tires

What is the best way to store my "good" (aftermarket) rims and tires when I put on my winter tires?

Is it ok to stack? Should I have them all stand up? Should I deflate them a little?

Please help! Thanks in advanced!

Generally, there are several ways to store 'em. A wall mounted bar with the wheels either slid down on through the hub holes or basket racked like you keep your basketballs, etc. works fine. On their sides along your garage floor, stacked or not is okay too. Try to keep correct air pressure in the tires and allow for cardboard separations between the wheels if stacked.

p.s. Its always a good idea to wash and wax your wheels prior to storage. Then it'll be like opening x-mas presents when you go to retrieve them next spring.

Also try to keep them in a dry cool place (but not super dry as the tires will being to crack). I usually just set them in my garage in the winter as it is
quite dry and cool.

In the summer though, i put them in the basement unless I get a hold of a
dehumidifier next spring.

Dry - cool - out of sunlight and away from electric motors.

If you stack, wich I do - please stack on a pair of 2x4's or the likes, so you dont rest on cold concrete - temperature changes will leave moisture rings around your package if directly on concrete.

I have several sets of wheels and made these moveable storage carts. Cheap, easy and work great.

I have something that looks exactly like that. HomeDepot sells these pre-cut
particle board discs that you can use. Just get 4 casters and a couple of
screws, and you're done! Perfect size.
