Interior/Exterior Yakima Roof Rack
Hi. Has anyone set up the Yakima roof rack for the mini? I've got a number of Yakima attachments that I'd like to use. I'm mainly wondering about the clearance between the cross bars and the roof. Hoping it doesn't stand too high.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Two things, XAlfa.
First, be careful as I understand some people are having a tough time with their racks and avoiding damaging their Minis. According to Yakima's website, the three currently approved by them for the Mini are:
2" Towing/Receiver Hitch Mount
1 ¼" Towing/Receiver Hitch Mount
Ball Towing/Receiver Hitch Mount
Check out http://www.yakima.com/choose_my_rack/index.asp
Also, are you a former Alfa owner like me, or does XAlfa have a different meaning?

Thanks, I'll definitely look into things further before I buy a rack.
Not quite a former Alfa owner. I still have a '69 1750 GTV that I'm going to be putting on the market soon. I just couldn't subject her to my 40 mile commute any longer, hence the Mini.
