Look at the sides, It's held by 2 Torx screws. Remove the screw from each side and pull it towards you.

Please note two very important things: the small electrical cable shown in the instructions is an SOB ro get back on when reinstalling the tach, and you need to be very, VERY careful when reinstalling the cluster, as there is a multi pin connector on the bottom. It is very easy to crush the pins. I swapped out my gauge faces for the JCW ones, and when I reinstalled the cluster, nothing worked at all. Fortunately, my service tech and service advisor are friends. My friend who is the tech notes that I had crushed the pins. He fixed everything up for me, but it was a PITA.

I added the Craven speed phone holder and I didn't have to unplug the cable. I just unscrewed the 2 screws and pulled it out enough to attach it.

Yeah, I recommend just attaching it with the screws rather than tape. It's easy peasy. You don't need to disconnect the cable in order to put the phone mount on. Just remove the two screws and pull the whole cluster toward you.
