Ok I'm not sure where or what to look up to try and figure out why my car is doing what it is doing. Long story short it's a 2011 MCS if the car sits overnight it does this weird thing where when u first pull away after sitting and go to stop at a light or stop sign right before you come to a complete stop itll start to accelerate on it's own. I have to hit the brake or it'll pick up for a split second and potentially hit the car in from of me. At first I thought maybe I'm hitting the gas with the side of my braking foot, but I'm not. It did this for a while off and on and then stopped. I thought maybe it was my sprint booster, so I put it back on the "stock" mode and left it. Still does it from time to time. Has anyone experienced this? Low fluid? Solenoid issue? It is a automatic. Thanks.

I think because the car is still cold, the rpm is still relatively high for it to accelerate with foot off gas paddle. Do you let it warm up for few minutes or you just start and go?

The transmission is reactive to the engine speed, so there might be some issues that take place after sitting overnight or when cold. read the codes even if there is no CEL and if you can get to the transmission module, read its codes too.

you can certainly check the ATF level, but I think the issue isnt the tranny.

 

If its winter time I always let the car warm up for 5 or 10 minutes. But in the summer time I let it run long enough for the rpms to drop down to normal and I take it easy until it gets to temp. There are no codes but I'll see if I can get anything to pull up.
