Mainly needed for a bike rack.
Like that it's not visible when not in use.

Above link is to the one I picked up. Only cuttingy/trimming was on the heat shield. Hitch receiver parts can be removed when not in use. The pricing is more on the OEM side, but it is a nice mechanism.
