Side Window Adjustment (disable autodown/pinch)

I had to remove the side windows as part of the rebuild and now I need to reteach the car the top and bottom positions for the windows. The Bentley manual explains how to disable the auto-down/pinch protection by disconnecting the window motor or fuse and cycling the window switch. I’ve done it countless times and still does not disable. Does anyone have any experience with side window adjustment?
As it is now, it won’t allow full up as the pinch protection kicks randomly. Nothing is in the way of the window path, so it’s not hung up on anything.

2008 MCS w/o comfort access.

Press and hold the window switch down for 10-15 seconds, then press and hold the window switch up for 10-15 seconds. At least it works for me..

Is there with the window motor disconnected? I tried and it’s still not working. I’m doing something wrong, just can’t figure what it is.

Got your PM. Not sure I understand your current state. On mine, the window motor is connected and the windows go up and down. A while back it quit doing the small down movement when opening and closing the door with the window up. I suspect there is a sensor in the door that tells the computer when the window is fully down and fully up.
