Nice, I was thinking of doing something similar. How much did it cost? Did you have to send your steering wheel to them?

All in all it was $575.

Nope, I still have my stock wheel. Im just amazed it only took 3 days to get here. I cant get amazon stuff that fast.

Im very impressed with Control Custom too. I did everything off of facebook so I was a little skeptical. They always answered my messages and were great to work with.

Very nice! Where did you get the steering wheel from? I have been wanting to change the steering wheel in my 2014 Countryman S.

It looks like you got the alcantara. How does the material feel? I'm torn between alcantara and perforated leather.

Incredible! I wanted a race car wheel so that was the only thing I had my mind set on. The wheel diameter is wider which is perfect too. I couldn't be happier

i had the fake leather stock wheel and found it a bit slippery for me. I think you can get the wheel with carbon in the middle sections

Sweeeeeet!! The circumference looks the same but they flattened the bottom!! On their website the first pic is of VW (type R) wheel that looks like a video game console.

Ha! Good point, I just saw that

the wheel is actually little thicker, which is what I was hoping for, because there must be a pad or backing for the Alcantara to stick too before they stitched it.

Gorgeous wheel. Those carbon fiber examples on their web site are special -- but the price!

That price includes the steering wheel. You do not need to send them yours. I have a JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters and was quoted a much higher price. I thought I would be able to transfer the paddles over to the custom steering wheel but they said it was a different steering wheel.

Honestly, it was a complete pain-free experience. It got to my house from the UK faster than I can get UPS packages

That's... incredibly easy. I've been eyeing some wheels and have been a little nervous about messing with the airbag. This video puts all that to easy.

That's a lot easier than pulling off the steering wheel on my 280 Zx. That one required a wheel puller. Thanks Vinnie
