Volume Limit on H/K Can we Change it?

Well it seems that when listening to my stock H/K system I have turned all the way up and then after a few minutes of driving, will forget this fact, and try and turn it up louder only to my frustration.

Is there a gain on the amp I can change or some trick anyone knows? I ask without looking only because I have the changer bolted in with a XM direct tuner and blitsafe adapter crammed into the space with the H/K amp and don't want to pull it out for no reason.

If there is even a wway to reprogram the stock Head Unit I would be game!

Please let me know.

Chris

Lowering the bass setting will get you more volume. I don't know of any other way..

Even with the windows and roof closed I stilll have the music all the way up and there are times I just want to rock with the band.....

I have the bass actually down about 2 turns as it is since the system is sooooo bass heavy

The limit is not adjustable.
The source volume level is about the only thing you might be able to adjust - if you are playing home recorded CDRs you could see if you can increase the level (dB) without hitting a distortion level.

My system can theoretically put out the absolute maximum from the HK, because I can overdrive the inputs from my aftermarket HU - but I have never taken it to max because of the risk of damaging speakers.
