Oil leak tracking

My new-to-me R53 has a light coating of oil on the underside leading from the rear of the engine. Following the clean oil I think it’s coming from the oil filter housing. Is this common?

One of the most common, in fact. That and the oil cooler has some gaskets in it that like to leak.
