PPI in the Sacramento area

Hello, all:

I'm looking at an R53 (2005) in the Sacramento area. Can anyone please recommend a good place to get a PPI done? Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Rich

There's always the mini dealer in sac. If you're looking for an indy, I would recommend tri star motorsports in roseville. It's a small father son shop owned by a gentleman named Andre. They mainly do bmw/merc/porsche, and have the master certifications/whatever the factory certs are, as theyre the common makes in the area. But, he takes care of a number of minis around the area. He worked on my car for the first 5 years of ownership until I decided to do the work myself. He also services some other, more interesting cars, too. They run a BMW 2002 race car in the next bay over. Really cool shop and they've always taken good care of me.

Its a very cool shop. Any time my car was in the shop for basic work that his son did, oil etc, I would talk with the owner while I waited. Apparently he services a bunch of that f40 owners german cars. I guess the guy was going out of town for a few weeks and brought the f40 over for service with the requirement that, while the owner was away, he was "required to drive the car as much as he wanted including taking his wife to dinner in it". Not sure if you've ever seen the interior of a f40 in person but he confirmed that day that it is the most uncomfortable car known to man to drive.

On topic: I think their ppi is like 100 or 150 bucks. I was going to buy a f56 from a dealer around here and he quoted me something in that range. It is worth noting, assuming you dont split time between here and torrance, that Roseville is a slight drive from some parts of Sac. May or may not be an issue for the seller. The mini dealer is just on the north east side of Sacramentoish and is significantly closer to Sac proper.

Very cool story! I've only seen the inside of the F40 and it does look very uncomfortable. Thanks, again, for the info, MCSmoonshine!
