JCW Which clutch for jcw clubman
Which clutch for jcw clubman
2009 clubman jcw manic stage 2 tune.
My clutch is on its way out and I need to decide which clutch package to go with. Should I go with something better than stock or will a stock clutch be ok? I searched online for answers but did't find much info. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Really happy with my OS Giken clutch / flywheel. Had it for about 50K miles and 7 years --- still looking good (just did an engine rebuild). Pedal is slightly stiffer, but not objectionable. Insignificant "chatter" when engaging. Well worth the high price. Suggest their LSD too, "while you're in there".
If the car is a daily driver the original will be the smoothest and easiest to drive.

The giken will hold more power, but is designed not to slip and isn't as smooth to drive daily as the clutch grabs quick.

But the other big thing is to go ahead and put a real LSD in while you have the trans out. This way you can get the power to the ground.

also put in the powerflex control arm bushings when you pull the subframe as it will be easy at the same time

LSD is not necessary, just a great improvement in handling and performance. They should only wear out under extreme track use. My OS Giken has been pushing 360+WHP for a few years, but on the streets, minimal track. As long as the tranny is out, this is a good and cost-effective time to do this mod.
