I'm considering upgrading my wheels and tires. I have an '03 MC with the 5 star 16" wheels and goodyear 195/55 runflats. I still have a little tread left on the tires so I have some time to research. I have the regular suspension. I don't plan on brake upgrades. I don't think I will be lowering the car anytime soon. When I do one day I plan on going all the way- coilovers, not springs. Do you guys think I should stay with the stock rims if not 15", 16" 17" or 18" and why? As far as tires go I would like something thats not direction specific (so that I can rotate not only front to back, but also left to right). Is 215 the widest you can fit without rubbing? Has anybody had issues with 215s rubbing. Will they rub if I lower the car?

 

In that case, I would try the Falken Ziex512's in 205/50/16 size on your factory wheels. :smile:

 

I drive on falken ziex512's, my understanding is that they are directional tires.

I've driven on them 2500 miles and like them. They are suple, have great traccion dry & wet, are 10 pounds lighter than the oem run flat, drive quiet and go for a reasonable price. I expect long wear too. I guess I'll be rotating them around late december, brr.
My 215/45/17, kosei k1 17x7.5 don't rub with stock suspension on an mcs.
Your stock wheels are cool looking in my opinion. You are looking at weight savings per tire of 10 or 11 pounds with the falken for about $400.00
