Those rounded key fob are just too big to put in the pockets... Luckily found this on the F56 forum. Love it!

Nice, yeah this is one of the first things I'm going to do as well. The huge round key fobs are stupid. Not sure who thought that one up.

Do you have a link for the one you got?

I, too, couldn't see putting that enormous fob into my pants pocket, and ended up ordering one of the "plain" Shapeways replacements. I ordered both the plastic and acrylic materials (in different colors), but over time they both cracked... looked bad and also wouldn't stay on the device properly. I gave it one more shot and ordered a metal one in "polished nickel steel." There was a caveat from the designer that the tolerances on the metal materials might cause the product not to fit properly, but I decided to take a chance on it because I didn't want to order plastic again. The "polished" part is not a mirror polish, as you can see from the attachment; and you can see the 3D printing build-up layers a bit more clearly in the metal than on the plastic. It adds a bit of weight to the key, though I don't find it objectionable. But I'm happy with it, and it certainly seems to be holding up quite well.

Bob,

Thanks for sharing your experience, the metallic one looks very nice, I'll definitely order that when the plastic one broke, we'll see how long mine will last...

Bob - Where did you get the metal fob? I could not find it on the shapeways website. Thanks.

Here's a link... when you get to the page, click the color popup menu and scroll the popup until you get to the metal choices.

Heya, do these work with the F60 countryman (2019)? What a great option, thank you for sharing.

Yes sir they do. I just got mine in the mail literally 5 minutes ago and they fit my 2019 F60 fob perfectly. A couple of pictures below. I bought 3 different colors: Premium Black, Normal Red, and Normal Green.

They do have a slight rough texture compared with the normal fob plastic. I'm tempted to sand them down smooth and then spray paint with touchup paint to match my car (british racing green, chili red for JCW accents, and black) complete with clear coat. I think that would look pretty sharp. Thoughts?

Do all the F series keys share the same dimensions? I have an F54 Clubman and would love to ditch the round key body.

Those look great! I wish there were some options for the R-series fobs. The flying saucer thing is just big and awkward. I guess all I can really do is change the metal ring around it.....sigh.
Looks good!
