Looking for new rims for 2005

I will be buying new rims for the 2005 season and need some suggestions. What is the best compromise out there for price and weight? I don't want to buy mega $$$ BBS rims and would prefer something around half that price. But many aftermarket rims are 20lbs + which is way too heavy. What's out there?

Same here, can't justify buying rims that are heavier than stock. I plan on staying with 16"s myself.
Narrowed it down to 2 options:

1) Rota Wheels inexpensive, and very light. Downside is that not all modles are TUV certified. They all have the asian equivelant certification, but I like to see that TUV on there.

2) A second set of MINI X-lites .. not the prettiest, but 17.4 lbs and no fitment issues to worry about.

Since this is the G-Stock section are you looking for stock legal wheels?

NZO Monza 16x6.5 14 pounds $160

Yep, stock legal. Obviosly something with minimum possible offest under the rules is preferred, or something where a spacer could bring to min spec.

I'm a bit confused on the offset information though. Stock is apparently 48mm. You can go up to 6.3 mm either side of that. What is the ultimate offset then? 41.7 mm or 54.3mm?

the offset is negative, so the lower the number the further out the wheel sits. Yeah I know it's confusing.

There is still some discussion about the actual offset of the stock wheels. So, the Monza's where made as a 44mm offset. So were the SSR Comps. (your two choices for light stock legal 16" wheels)

there are lots of 17x7 wheels out there, but good tire choices limit the use at the top level.

Yep, stock 16" X-lites or Monzas.
Of course, if I don't work out a deal to get an '05, I'll be selling my 16" Enkei RPO-1's.

Brian, keep me in mind if you decide to sell.
