Likely purchasing this car next week and wondering about the rim color and bonnet strip. Should I stick with the silver rims or get them powder coated black? Also for bonnet stripes, metallic silver or Black, style as below photo.

Thanks for any input.

Side view of car as it sits now.

Front view.

I really like this one, so leaning towards this style.

Similar color with silver stripe

Similar color with same wheels, but white stripe. I don't think this color combo will work because I have black roof.

Similar color with black stripes

That’s a nice looking MCS. Good luck with it. One of the great things about MINI’s is that they offer so many ways to personalize them to your own taste. Who cares what any of us think? Do what feels right to you! The best MINI’s are the unique ones. If you like the look of the darker stripes and black wheels....DO IT! Unless they are the kind of folks that should be driving a Camry, everyone does even some small things to customize the look or sound or whatever. I took mine and blacked out everything I could, because my son and I thought it would look better that way. Not everyone may agree...but they aren’t the ones driving it, so pfffft! Lol
Buy it, enjoy it, and make your own in your own way.

Congrats and welcome to the obsession!! That is a sharp looking Mini, and I agree with Mr. Grumpy, you can do no wrong. As for my opinion, I'd leave the wheels as they are. They go with the chrome around the headlights and the grill, and they really pop against the darker color from the side. Are those 17" rims? Having said that, the contrast could be cool too. I like where you're going with the stripes, and maybe do those first. Then see how you feel about the wheels? It's going to look awesome. Post some updates as you go!!

Your car prospect seems to have the JCW aero front facia with brake ducts and fog lamp surrounds. Additionally the JCW painted rocker moldings.

Yes, JCW aero kit and JCW exterior package. I plan to make it as close to a JCW as funds allow.

And get in touch with Mariokart to make it go. I’m still singing his praises, lol. I’m very happy with it, it’s really a night and day difference in power and delivery with a good tune
