Anyone have advise on how to care for carbon fiber parts and what to do if one gets a little bit of a haze to it? Just picked up a new 2018 Carbon edition and noticed that the hood scoop carbon part has a bit of haze to it where maybe water sat? Can you use regular wax on the CF parts or do you have to use a wax meant for marine gel maybe?

 

UV degrades the clear coat on carbon pieces quickly. Usually a light polish will take the haze off but then you need to seal it with a good quality wax with a UV inhibitor to keep it looking fresh.

 

So second question then leads to what's a good UV inhibitive wax to use?

 

I have used the chemical guys spray wax on my carbon fiber stuff, also good for hood stripes. good UV protectant
