What issue are you having with pairing your phone to your MINI? When I tried to initially pair my cell phone I needed to turn the Bluetooth off and on before it would find it.

just because you see the buttons, this does not necessarily mean your can HAS BT installed .....
all GEN2 have the buttons on the steering wheel ... BT or no BT

you can use a VIN decoder to see if it is there ....do a search there are many links here on NAM
