Just bought my '11 JCW 45K ON DASH... I FEEL REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS CAR. PLAN ON ADDING ABOUT 400 HP. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO IN FULL EFFECT
You can get up to 300WHP total just with bolt-ons. Anything over 300 needs internal mods, then you gotta start worrying about reliability. There's a few R53's out there, but very few R56's or newer with this kind of HP, it doesn't come easily. It's one helluva blast, but be sure you have the budget and patience. Do your research BEFORE spending a bundle.
If I remember correctly when talking with Mario about this kit. It is supposed to push 400hp. If you're wanting to get anywhere near your goal HP you will need to build the motor with forged internals.
hello Mario
is your kit for built motor or just a bolt on?
for the N14 I highly suggest at least forged pistions and ARP Rod bolts. 340whp. The limiting factor is the fuel system since there isn’t an upgradable system.
Even at 290whp the car is a complet hand full. This system is very efficient and I made more HP at 16psi than my old hybrid kit at 23psi
I can't use your 10-piece kit, but I'd really like more info on your exhaust header --- is one available without the ext wastegate? Size of the turbo flange? Is there enough thickness on the head flange to allow for slight inlet enlargement (head's been ported)?
It looks like you're getting into the part retail business. Do you have a website to display your products?

thanks for the heads up... building my jcw in three stages and STAGE 3 will mostly be internal work. My jcw is not my everyday car it only has 46k miles on it now. My everyday vehicle is my 18th wheeler only home for three days at a time. So building up the internals can actually wait until my STAGE 3 list is almost complete. Probably barely put 300 miles on it on my hometime.
Once the direct injectors run out of fuel..you have to add a secondary port injection system to provide additional fuel. This would also require another ECU to drive the port injection system; or a standalone methanol injection system could supplement as well.
@Mario - did your intake temp at intercooler drop some moving to the larger Turbo?

they did drop because of how efficient the kit is. 20psi at 330whp is pretty awesome. I will be adding my own custom huge Intercooler for my Countryman and probably will add methanol
