blown moter: ( "as is") 20 mile from the car lot

In the louisville area. Any of you guys have a moter rebuilt? 07 mini S six speed
bought a car in Indianapolis from A4 you 20 miles down the road it shut down the engine is toast.91,000 miles.
it's not been tore down to see what happens.
if the block is good , the head is probably toast/ warped. it got very hot melted the valve cover and timing chain cover. any of had a rebuild done. I'm aware it's not cheap... thoughts idea's local mechanics known to do this work.
and yes I test drove it only 6 miles. a huge mistake
no lemon law app
Looking to put a 2010 JCW moter in My 07 Cooper S I know the JCW moter came with a larger Turbo. Is the exhaust larger, down pipe Inner cooler larger?
trying to cover all the issue,s the may come up with doing this kind of engine swap.
any input or advice would be appropriated.

In ny, dealers have to honor a 30 day warranty.

As Is in Indiana totally protects the car lot.
I have a 4100 dollar yard ornament.

We have a poster here MiniToBe

who is knowledgeable on rebuilding these engines/cars. PM him. He can probably help you out.

Good reason to not buy cars in states that favor shady business over consumers. I'll refrain from further comment as it would become a banned topic.

Sucks big time.

All the more reason for a PPI by a knowledgeable MINI shop/mechanic.

If you go the route of an engine swap, you'll have to pull the engine out anyway. Why not pull it out and tear it down to determine the level of damage & cause?
Eric the car guy has a Mini channel dedicated to his Mini Cooper S. One of his videos does include engine removal so that will be a "heads up" before busting any knuckles.
