Any one owning a Schwaben scan tool - Need some help soon!

I just got the Schwaben scan tool and thought it would allow me to do car battery registration for sure. I thought it was under "Service". But when I select service it says "The selected function is not supported".

I have a mid year 2013 R59.

Now I don't know what to do... I just changed the battery and the old one is gone... can I drive a few days without hurt the new battery?

Another piece of info. When I got the tool I did an update of the OS. And I inadvertently deleted the old one. Could I have deleted the mini service functionality, or should the latest OS take priority anyway?

Shortest thread ever... after looking at it for way too long I tried something else...

I was letting the scan tool detect the car. It would find the VIN etc... but the function was not available. Well I thought what the heck, and decided to select the car manually. This time the service functionality was available! Not yet smart enough I suppose. Still a great tool...

Is there an IBS box on the negative terminal cable?
Not all MINIs have that, and those that
don’t don’t need the battery registered, if I understand correctly.

Yes there is. It took me some time but I figured it out (I had to manually enter the car model) and I found what needed done. Thx for the post though!
