Stage 2 Manic this Friday

I’ve got all my parts and am ready to get going with my mods. I have my AEM cold air intake and Alta inlet installed. I have a Race Dynamics catless downpipe, Wagner sport intercooler, Alta hot side charge pipe, NGK 1422 and spark plugs. Headed to G3 in Raleigh on Friday for install and a Manic stage 2 tune. I’ve been looking forward to this since I bought the car in December.

Congratulations and enjoy. When Im done installing a Manic tune and give the keys back I usually tell the customer "Heres the keys to your new car". Sometimes I get funny looks... until they drive it that is

There shouldn't be a CEL due to downpipe. Others still there for safety/troubleshooting.

nah I've been reading the archives. They all throw a CEL hi flo cats or catless. Needs a tune. It's the oxy sensor.

yah, the stage 2 manic tune removes the CEL for the downpipe. isn't that what we're talking about in this thread?

So far so good

Its been a while since I had the tune and parts installed. I’ll say it’s a whole different animal. No CEL and no problems. I’ve only ran map 1 so far. If I disable traction control completely is does a great burnout, has a good strong bark at 2nd and a little bark shifting to 3rd. It pulls about as strong as the Duramax dually I used to own. It was 450hp and about 700lb/ft. But the Mini is less than half the weight. It will blow the doors off my old 1987 GTA Trans Am. But my truck would too,😁.

The only thing I don’t like is the Alta inlet. It has the wrong bend in it and the port for the recirc is a bit short making it difficult to have a simple and clean connection.

Dont know, just did. If the bend was correct I’d really like it. It’s well made but missing a bit on engineering.

Because there's a considerable price diff with the NM intake. And the turbo expert down in Phoenix said the NM works best with his mod turbos. Good feedback.
