Hotchkis Comp rear sway bar

Anyone using a Hotchkis Competition rear sway bar? I autocross my daily driver MCS and wondered just how stiff the competition bar would be on the street.

Yes actually this is the most popular bar for AutoX and is the lightest at only 5.5lbs. We keep them in stock

I run one on my R56 and ran the older model solid (heavy!) bar on my R53. They were both great, made the car more fun on the street too.

It's the Konis that wrecked the ride for me. Really nice to have the body control on course, not so great on crappy roads.

Burgler,

What did you not like about the Konis? Those shocks were also on my radar as an upgrade purchase at a later time...

The Konis are excellent for AX, but really impact (Ha! A damper pun!) your ride quality.

What doesn't help is that you can't adjust the rears without disassembling the suspension. Even so, with the fronts turned to full soft, they're still pretty choppy. You learn to live with it, but by comparison the big rear swaybar has no impact on ride.

When I bought my car it had the Bilsteins on it, and those rode significantly better. I could catch a rear in particular being a little lazy between the cones on occasion, though.

FWIW, I trophied at Nationals on both sets of shocks (apologies for the horn tooting, in fairness it was a low trophy both times) but given the choice to live with every day I preferred the Bilstein.
