Manic tune, Cat-less down pipe, and Connecticut emissions...
Anyone out these in Connecticut with a Manic tune with a cat-less down pipe have experience with state emissions testing? Have you passed without modifications? If not, what have you had to do to pass?
Are you 100% sure on the one monitor? (I’m not questioning, I just don’t know). If that is the case, Manic tune with catless down pipe will pass without changing to “stock” tune. I don’t think I have to get checked until November. Just making sure I know what to expect when it comes.

I found this thread on the Subaru Impreza board with a guy who does CT inspections. He says MY01+ can have one not ready.
I couldn't find anything on the actual CT DMV website on exact inspection requirements written in law other than what years need to be tested and whatnot, which is weird because I've looked up laws for users here in NY, PA and RI and they all allow one monitor.
So I dug waaaaayyyy deep into the CT eRegulations.
So under Title 14, section 14-164c-1a, under point 17:
"(17) "Emissions standards" means the current maximum allowable emissions for vehicles defined by the Commissioner of Environmental Protection in section 22a-174-27 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, as amended. Emissions standards shall include standards for exhaust emissions, air pollution control system integrity standards (pressure test) and fuel evaporative control system standards for vehicles subject to this state's enhanced vehicle emissions inspection program."

So what does 22a-174-27 say?
"The test sequence for any inspection of OBD II systems on model year 1996 and newer LDV’s and LDT’s administered by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles or his designee shall meet the requirements of 40 CFR 51 and 40 CFR 85 and shall include all procedures set forth in 40 CFR 85.2222."

And what does 40 CFR 85.2222 say?
(2) An exception to paragraph (c)(1) of this section is allowed for MY 1996 to MY 2000 vehicles, inclusive, with two or fewer unset readiness monitors, and for MY 2001 and newer vehicles with no more than one unset readiness monitor. Vehicles from those model years which would otherwise pass the OBD inspection, but for the unset readiness code in question, may be issued a passing certificate without being required to operate the vehicle in such a way as to activate those particular monitors. Vehicles from those model years with an unset readiness code that also have a DTC stored resulting in an illuminated MIL must be failed, though setting the unset readiness flag in question shall not be a prerequisite for passing the retest."

TL;DR: Yes, I am pretty sure at this point.
I'll be interested to know how you fared at emissions. I just went to a manic stage one tune with a high-flow dp. My assumption is that I'll need to swap the dp every two years but if I don't that will mean far few nicks and bruises on my hands.

Manic stage 2, cat-less down pipe, map B... passed CT emissions this past November. Good to go for another two years.
