Why won't this Aero bumper fit 2011-up R55, R56 Models?

This is the 2007-2010 one piece Aero bumper for R56's and R55's. What is the conflict that prevents it from being fitted on a 2011-up R's? I want to retro fit this to a 2013 R55 S. Don't like the multi piece setup Mini can up with after 2010. Is it a simple bumper carrier swap? Any insight would be awesome.

Thanks Jim

The LCI vehicles has a safety lower front bar that I think is going to interfere with this bumper.

Yep it's that bottom bar, some people have made it fit by removing and modifying the bottom bar, my guess is that there was some crash safety standard that changed things and they had to add the bar.

More to it than just the crash bar. You'll have to change the wheelwell liners and the air ducts and the whole front core support. Now with that said you could get a 2013 JCW aero bumper that will fit without having to convert to the older 2010 bumper.

So researching this further, it seems like the I would need three parts:

51-11-7-147-914 impact bar
31-10-6-772-232 cross member extension right
31-10-6-772-231 cross member extension left

Front wheel well liners show the same part numbers for 2010 & 2013.

I believe the brake ducts come with the kit. Am I making this too easy?

The liners are different. The LCI has big square brake ducts and the 2010 and older have a smaller triangle duct.
