Looking at purchasing a used 2014 Convertible

Hey friends, I'm looking into buying one of @minitobe's rebuilt Minis. It has 14k on the odo. It was one with a minimal amount of water damage.

My main question is regarding known issues / repairs: what are these models prone to? What issues should I be prepared for? Are they considerably solid? (As far as Mini goes....)

I made the terrible decision a few years ago of purchasing a used 2007 S (despite much advice here) and had my timing chain fly off and destroy the engine. -- luckily, MiniToBe did an amazing repair job for me.

Thanks!

2014 R57? S Model or non-S? S Model should have still used the N18, correct? If an S, and the N18, much more reliable as far as engine goes, versus the N14.

It's the 2014 S Automatic.
