Fuel Gauge

A few days ago, my R53 wouldn't stay run when started. I suspected the problems was the fuel pump, ordered a new one and changed it today along with the fuel filter. Bev crank up and stayed running. Problem is, the gas gauge now goes to E and the gas light is on, tank is half full. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the new pump to make sure the float wasn't hanging up on anything.

I'm thinking there's a problem with the sending unit, but wanted feedback if there's anything else I should be checking?

Would think that if the gauge worked prior to the filter being replaced that either something did not get reconnected correctly or something broke during the work.

Ditto, good chance the level actuator isn't connected properly.
