Was wondering by some random chance anyone on here has a Damos file for the ECU in our R53's? Im in the middle of getting the car tuned and need a Damos file to figure out some additional maps.

There is no damos file for Siemens EMS2000.After a long study ,I managed to make a mapapck with over 80 maps.

 

Wow. Impressive that you identified 80+ maps. I started off with absolutely no clue what damos file is and only vaguely know what winols does. I watched a few video on Youtube by vagecumap and this is really interesting stuff. You must know the data structures of the EMS2000 may be from other cars, or process some knowledge from your day job.

 

R53 tuning is just a hobby for me,and after a few years of working with EMS2000 I can say has no secrets for me.I tuned over 100 R53,with different settings,15%pulley, 17%pulley, 19%pulley,380cc ,440cc,550cc,640cc injectors,Newman cams, Piper cams,turbo conversion and so on.I own an R50 facelift tuned for 140HP, rev limiter at 7500rpm,hw mods only 270cc injectors and exhaust valves from R53 engine.Car get 100mph in third gear.Previous settting was with larger throttle from 52mm diameter stock to 57mm, throttle made by me, power 145hp.
I own also F54 Clubman equipped with 2,0l Diesel 150hp and 330Nm torque, I will modify next week for 205hp and 420Nm, no hw mods.

adrian tuned my car and well, I wouldn't call it mini anymore with how it performs....
I too agree the guy knows his tuning...i find he and akumetzo (or how ever you spell it )are the go to guys around here.

Thanks I think? Lol. Tuning is not magic its just a science. I suggest to anyone looking to checkout the videos from HP Academy. Great guys and great info for a reasonable cost. Just a customer no affiliation. I have bought several of their courses over the years when a new ecu comes out. I started tuning with a mega squirt when they first launched many moons ago. Built the kit from the ground up. That being said I was a pinball tech for many years and have extensive electronics background.

i do not have the original file. I do have a couple map files that i got from a volvo forum. I can email them to you if u want.

 

Hi i dont have my stock map file but i do have 3 map files that were posted by other users that have been made. Maybe you tweek one of the maps and add my injectors to it if possible. I can email you the zip file if you want.

 

I can help you with S40 2,0T , 160HP , few maps, but enough for a decent tune.Attached also 29F400sw.

 

seems 2 me, that you know what you are talking about. have mc 2005 like you, and its time for overhauling the engine. passed 200k km long time ago. wanna give her a new life.so my questions...is it possible to go for vdo Ecu (upgraded ecu) and have your tune for her, like on your car (140hp). if its possible, what would my shooping lust look like to achive that.

Nothing really difficult to find one

 

Hi there, I have the file from my R53 which I can send to you, this was mapped by a local tuning place by the previous owner.

The mods were 380cc injectors, 17% pulley K&N induction kit.

I now have 550cc injectors, 17% pulley, race extractors/decat, Malian exhaust, large intercooler and 0% lightened crank pulley.

Would you be able to modify my ECU file to suit please?

Hello, Adrian I purchased a 1000$ R53, and as I'm sure you could guess I have my hands full tracking down DTC and everything else. I was hoping since you're the only person who has taken any real time decoding the siemens ems2k could i purchase some or all of your map pack? It would be greatly appreciated more than you could know. Thank you for your time.
