Question Regarding iPhone 84212365786 Universal Snap In Adapter

I own a F56 2016 JCW

Is the 84212365786 iPhone Universal Snap In Adapter the same for a Mini Cooper and a BMW? The reason I am asking is because ECS Tuning shows two different parts numbers for the 84212365786 iPhone Universal Snap In Adapter. They show the Genuine Mini as their number ES#2817548 for $260.82 and the Genuine BMW as their number ES#2848839 for $227.63. They both carry the same manufacturer part number 84212365786. You can buy a new BMW 84212365786 from eBay for $186.43.

I create a topic in JCW Garage and Audio and Navigation where I believe they belong but never get any responses. I guess I’ll just create new topics in the F55/F56 Hatch Talk section only going forward.

Mini Vinnie, if you don’t have anything constructive to add, why even respond. Save yourself, mine and everyone else’s time and just move on.

If you're not getting the response you want in one place, it may be time to reflect and re-consider your approach before spamming other boards. Mini_Vinnie actually does have a decent point here in addressing the formatting of your post as well. For what it's worth, I read it as a confusing and cryptic jumble of numbers and quickly gave up on trying to understand it about 1-2 sentences in.

It sounds like you're trying to save a bit of money on a phone mount, cool! Instead of just posting a bunch of serial numbers that are next to meaningless to the casual reader of these boards, maybe provide some links? Try expanding a little more on your thoughts instead of just getting defensive.

My post is self explanatory and in no way confusing. I have no idea what you are talking about regarding spamming other boards. Another member that is adding nothing constructive to this topic and needs to move on.

I'll just reiterate curtyv's post since he covered it pretty well. You posted it in the correct forum the first time. The lack of responses probably is an indicator of the popularity of the snap-in module. Most people looked at it and saw the cost vs gain and passed on it. I certainly did. You are listing two different parts that ECS is offering if I read you correctly. My suggestion would be to call them and talk with them about the differences in the parts and if you find the part number you need/want, then search the web for a better price. Chances are if you do find a better price it won't be backed like ECS will.

I'll leave this post up for a couple more days in case you get a reply, but them it'll be merged with the original.

Thank you for your kind reply. I was hoping someone on this forum would have the answer I was looking for. I think my question was pretty simple. Is the Genuine BMW and Genuine Mini IPhone Snap In Adapter the same thing. They both carry the same manufactures part number 84212365786.

Got the answer from my local BMW/Mini dealership. The 84212365786 iPhone Snap In Adapter is the same part for either a BMW or Mini Cooper. So if anyone is looking to buy one, buy the BMW one. Don’t be fooled by certain vendors that list two different part numbers and different prices, one for BMW and one for Mini. The best cost I found for new, is from an eBay vendor that sells Genuine BMW parts for $186.43, which includes free shipping.
