valve cover question-2 ports on the back?

So I bought a new valve cover to replace my old one which I'm pretty sure has been leaking for a while now, but the new one has 2 ports on the back (1 large 1 small), and the old one only has 1. Is the smaller port supposed to be blocked off, on the valve cover I received it is not capped off or anything, and I don't think any of the lines on my 2007 Mini Cooper S will hook up to it. I'm guessing this might be a valve cover for both the N14 and N18 motors, with some mods to make it work for one or the other, but I'm not sure. Thank you for the help.

I just found out that the 2nd port I was referring to, is supposed to be plugged with an included small cap. I guess it's not a port that's utilized in the U.S. cars, weird. Thank you for offering to help though. I'm going to look in the box and see if I got one of those small caps and if not, I will be purchasing one somewhere else.
