R50/53 passenger handle sticks & side light lamp holder
passenger handle sticks & side light lamp holder
The passenger handle "trigger" on my 04 Cooper S sticks in the compressed position and I have to tiddle the forward end to get the rear end to come back out of the metal handle. I've heated it with a hair dryer (which helped) and sprayed a lot of WD40 into the inside, but even though it got up to 45 degrees today it still sticks. Any suggestions?
I found the lamp holder on the left rear side light is toast from corrosion. The light strip is OK, it is just the removable lamp holder that is bad. I see the side light assemblies on Amazon for 10 to 15 dollars, but not just the lamp holder. Are these available somewhere?
I also found the cables for sliding the seats forward when you fold the backs forward are broken or missing. Are these available? The little levers are there but one has no cable and the other has a piece of broken cable in it.
