WilWood Or Brembo?

Which of these brands would someone say is better for sport brakes without breaking hella bank as in $4000+?

I have been looking at the prices and read many forums on hats better other sites and read one on a corvette forum that was very interesting.

Any other suggestions are welcomed.

for what use? If doing actual trackdays wilwood all the way, the first time you change track pads you will wonder how you went this longl, and the pad price is half, I can get ST43 pads for under 100 a pop.

Personally I never had brake pad fade with the R53 jcw fronts but the wilwoods will no doubt run cooler

the dynapro caliper 7816 pad size has a lot of choices

Installed and used both. Still stick with the wilwoods on my car. Also the caliper gave me more clearance than the brembo calipers had.

@WayMotorWorks so I am assuming you have 19” wheel and what brand are the rims?

Any suggestions on where to go in Sonoma or SF to have someone install the brakes if I bought them?

I would check with a local MINI club in your area.

There have been probably a dozen big brake options for the MINI market over the past 15yrs. They seem to come and go with the wind.

Both Brembo and Wilwood have endured the storm and continue to offer quality kits for your car.

The primary benefit to the Wilwood, and TCE/Wilwood offerings are the number of options available to help build the system or customize it, to the customers needs. From wheel diameter fit to full on bling and everything in the middle.

The smaller Wilwood kits remain popular for the 15 and 16" markets. The former TCE designed- now Wilwood produced 13" DP6 Kit is a great combo of function and form. A killer value for the money.

TCE still slots in with a number of more dedicated track offerings like our FSL caliper shod 13 x .810 and .92HD rotor offerings where rotor mass and massive pads are more in demand.

We are also the exclusive builder of the 14" six pot front kit for those with larger wheels.

Comes down to 1. Wheel size, 2. Intended use/objective, 3. Budget- how much do you want to spend?

With those three criteria you'll zero in in a couple options quickly and narrow the field. Let me know if you have any specific question or wish to compare any offerings.
